Louise never denied that pain and injustice exist. She understood that people struggle with loss, fear, illness, and trauma. But she always invited us to look at life through a deeper lens.

From a Louise Hay perspective, the current global intensity might be seen as:

A reflection of collective thought patterns and deeply held beliefs

Old fear, anger, and separation coming to the surface to be healed

A spiritual “wake-up call” inviting us to become more conscious of what we are thinking, believing, and projecting

She reminded us again and again:

“It’s only a thought, and a thought can be changed.”

This doesn’t mean that world events are insignificant or that we should ignore them. Instead, it reminds us that:

We may not control what happens globally

We do have power over how we respond

Our thoughts, emotions, and energy either add to fear or add to healing

When we catch ourselves spiraling in worry, anger, or helplessness, Louise’s teachings ask us to pause and gently ask:

What am I thinking right now?
Is there a kinder, more loving thought I’m willing to choose instead?

The Point of Power in the Present Moment

In uncertain times, the mind races:

Back to the past: “How did everything go so wrong?”

Forward to the future: “What if things never get better?”

Louise continually brought us back to now:

The only place we can think, feel, choose, and create is this present moment.

In this moment, you can:

Notice the fearful story your mind is telling

Feel the tension in your body—tight jaw, clenched stomach, shallow breath

Offer yourself compassion instead of criticism

Choose one thought that is even slightly more peaceful

For example:

From “The world is completely unsafe” to
“There is fear in the world, and there is also love and kindness.”

From “I’m powerless” to
“I can’t control everything, but I can choose how I respond right now.”

This is not denial. It is a conscious decision to stand in your inner power, rather than being swept away by fear.

A simple present-moment practice inspired by Louise’s work:

Pause and feel your feet on the ground.

Take a slow breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Silently say:

“In this moment, I am safe.”
“In this moment, I choose peace.”

Even 30 seconds of this can begin to shift your state.

Chaos as a Call to Inner Work

It’s easy to believe, “I’ll feel peaceful when the world finally calms down.”
Louise turned that around: peace in the world begins with peace in each of us.

When outer events trigger strong reactions, they’re often touching:

Old memories of feeling unsafe or out of control

Deep-seated beliefs such as “Life is against me,” “I’m not safe,” or “I’m alone”

Learned habits of worst-case thinking and constant vigilance

From a Heal Your Life perspective, what we see “out there” becomes a mirror of what’s asking for healing “in here.”

You might gently explore:

What am I believing about life when I feel this scared?

When did I first start expecting danger, loss, or disappointment?

Am I willing to imagine that life might also be kind, supportive, and on my side?

This is the essence of Louise Hay’s work:

Becoming aware of our thoughts

Noticing which ones create fear, tension, or hopelessness

Choosing new thoughts that are more loving, trusting, and life-supporting

Step by step, thought by thought, we begin to build an inner foundation of peace that is less dependent on outer conditions.

Loving Treatment

Deep at the center of my being there is an infinite well of Love.

I now allow this love to flow to the surface. It fills my heart, my body, my mind, my consciousness, my very being, and radiates out from me in all directions and returns to me multiplied. The more love I use and give, the more I have to give, the supply is endless. The use of love makes me feel good, it is an expression of my inner joy.

I love myself, therefore I take loving care of my body. I lovingly feed it nourishing food and beverages. I lovingly groom it and dress it, and my body lovingly responds to me with vibrant health and energy. I love myself, therefore I provide for myself a comfortable home, one that fills all my needs and is a pleasure to be in. I fill the rooms with the vibration of love so that all who enter, myself included, will feel this love and be nourished by it. I love myself, therefore, I work at a job that I truly enjoy doing, one that uses my creative talents and abilities, working with and for people that I love and love me, and earning a good income. I love myself, therefore, I behave and think in a loving way to all people for I know that that which I give out returns to me multiplied. I only attract loving people in my world for they are a mirror of what I am. I love myself, therefore, I forgive and totally release the past and all past experiences and I am free. I love myself therefore, I love totally in the now, experiencing each moment as good and knowing that my future is bright, and joyous, and secure for I am a beloved child of the universe and the universe lovingly takes care of me now and forever more. And so it is.

In the tapestry of life, each thread represents a moment, a lesson, or a memory. We are the weavers of this intricate design, holding the power to create a masterpiece filled with love, joy, and harmony. As we embark on this journey together, I invite you to open your heart to the infinite possibilities that self-love and healing can bring into your life.

SELF-TALK
Our well-being is rooted in how we talk to ourselves, the thoughts we nurture, and the beliefs we hold dear. Remembering that every thought we think is creating our future is essential. Therefore, it becomes imperative to cultivate a garden of positive affirmations, watering it with love and kindness, ensuring that what grows is beautiful, strong, and vibrant.

AFFIRMATION
Affirmations are more than just words; they are the very essence of our being, a mirror reflecting our deepest truths and desires. By affirming what we wish to see in our lives, we set the intention for transformation and healing. “I am worthy of love and joy,” “I am open to healing and transformation,” “I embrace my power to create a life of abundance.” These are not just affirmations but declarations of our inherent worth and capability.

COURAGE
The journey toward self-love and healing can be challenging. There will be moments of doubt, fear, and resistance. In these moments, we must gently remind ourselves of our inner strength and resilience. Like a lotus flower that blooms in the mud, we too can rise from our challenges, more beautiful and stronger than before.

FORGIVE
Forgiveness plays a crucial role in our healing journey. It is the bridge that leads us from the land of past hurts to the realm of peace and freedom. Forgiving ourselves and others releases the chains of negativity, allowing us to move forward with grace and ease. Remember, forgiveness is not about condoning hurtful actions; it is about setting our hearts free from the burden of resentment.

SELF-CARE
Our bodies are magnificent vessels of energy and light, deserving our utmost care and respect. Nourishing our bodies with healthy foods, engaging in joyful movement, and resting when needed are acts of self-love that replenish our spirits and enhance our vibrancy. Listen to your body; it has a wisdom all its own.

NATURE
Connecting with nature is another beautiful way to heal and rejuvenate our souls. With its endless beauty and wonder, the earth has a soothing balm for every weary heart. Whether it’s a walk in the park, a moment by the ocean, or simply basking in the sun’s warmth, nature has a way of reminding us of the interconnectedness of all life.

COMMUNITY
Lastly, it is essential to surround ourselves with a supportive community that uplifts and inspires us. The people we choose to share our journey with can significantly influence our path to healing and growth. Seek out those who reflect the love and light you wish to see in the world, and together, you will rise.

In closing, remember that you are a magnificent being, capable of creating a life filled with love, joy, and abundance. Embrace the journey of self-love and healing, for it is the most beautiful gift you can give yourself.

Affirm your worth, forgive with grace, nourish your body and soul, connect with nature, and cherish your community. The world is waiting for your light to shine brightly.

THE LOUISE HAY METHOD
In the realm of personal development and self-healing, few names are as revered as Louise Hay. Her pioneering work in affirmations and positive thinking has empowered millions to transform their lives by changing their thoughts. Hay believed that our thoughts shape our reality and that by altering our mental patterns, we can rewrite old, negative belief systems that hold us back.

If you find yourself trapped in a cycle of negative self-talk or battling with limiting beliefs, it’s time to introduce a new narrative. Inspired by the wisdom of Louise Hay, here are seven powerful affirmations designed to help you break free from the past and embrace a future filled with positivity, health, and abundance.

Affirmations for promoting self-love.

I Am Worthy of Love and Joy:
Many of us struggle with feelings of unworthiness, which can stem from past experiences or societal messages. This affirmation is a reminder that you inherently deserve love and joy simply by being alive. Repeat this statement to yourself, especially during moments of doubt, to reinforce your value and open your heart to the love and happiness you deserve.

My Body is a Vessel of Wellness:
Louise Hay taught us that our thoughts and emotions profoundly impact our physical health. This affirmation encourages a loving and respectful relationship with your body. See it as a companion on your journey, deserving of care and gratitude. By affirming your body’s capacity for wellness, you invite healing and vitality into your life.

I Prosper Wherever I Turn:
Abundance isn’t just about financial wealth; it’s about recognizing and appreciating the richness of life itself. This affirmation helps shift your mindset from one of scarcity to one of abundance. Believe in your ability to attract prosperity and watch as opportunities for growth and success flourish in all areas of your life.

I Release the Past and Live Fully in the Present:
Holding onto past hurts or regrets can prevent us from experiencing the fullness of the present moment. This affirmation is a powerful declaration of your intention to let go of what no longer serves you. Embrace the present with an open heart and mind, and allow yourself to be fully engaged in the richness of now.

I Am Open to Receiving All the Good:
Sometimes, without even realizing it, we can block ourselves from receiving the good the universe offers. This affirmation invites you to open your arms and heart to the world’s abundance. Trust in the goodness surrounding you and be willing to receive it with gratitude.

My Thoughts Create a Beautiful Reality:
This affirmation is at the heart of Louise Hay’s teachings. Recognize the power of your thoughts to shape your world. Cultivate a garden of positive, loving thoughts and watch as your external reality transforms into a reflection of your inner beauty and peace.

I Am a Beacon of Love and Compassion:
In a world that often feels divided, this affirmation is a commitment to be a source of light and warmth. By choosing to embody love and compassion, you uplift your spirit and inspire those around you to do the same. Remember, even the smallest act of kindness can ripple outwards in ways we cannot imagine.

Practice:
Incorporating these affirmations into your daily routine can help you to gradually replace old, limiting beliefs with a new, empowering narrative. Like Louise Hay often said, it’s not just about positive thinking—it’s about changing your entire outlook on life. Repeat these affirmations with conviction, visualize their truth unfolding in your life, and prepare to witness the transformative power of positive thought.

Feelings of unworthiness often stem from old conditioning — the belief that love and success must be earned. When we shift from proving our worth to honoring it, we open the door to genuine joy, ease, and abundance.

The post How Worthy Are You? first appeared on Heal Your Life Training.

“I am willing to release the need to be unworthy. I am worthy of the very best in life, and I now lovingly allow myself to accept it”― Louise Hay

Are there been moments when you feel you are not good enough? Do you have the need to constantly prove yourself? Do you believe you have to earn love? Do you long for acceptance, appreciation or approval?

When we feel unworthy within, we close ourselves off, feeling lonely even when we’re surrounded by people. We are afraid to take the risk to let others see us as we are. We tend to wear a mask, supress our true feeling, quiten the inner voice and pretend to be someone or something else.

The result? We feel lonely, disconnected, anxious and alone. We get lost in a cycle of thinking, feeling and behaving that perpetuates disapproval and dissatisfaction. We may even pretend that things are OK, while our soul screams in desperation.

Louise Hay in her best-selling book ‘You Can Heal Your Life’, constantly reminds us that we are worthy simply because we exist. We don’t have to prove anything or be anything to ‘win’ approval. We deserve the best and that is the only truth that matters.

How often do we criticize and judge ourselves? Louise says; “Criticism breaks down the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can. Tell yourself how well you are doing with every little thing.”

Instead of being critical and dwelling in self-blame and pity, a better option is to love and approve of yourself. When you find little aspects of your life and being that you approve, accept and feel great about, gradually your life transforms.

This does not mean that we do not reach for more excellence and accept the status quo. It just means that we are now free to pursue and live our life without excessive judgment and blame.

Incredible Tip For The Day

“You’ve been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”― Louise Hay

The post How Worthy Are You? first appeared on Heal Your Life Training.

By Sneha Shah

Have you ever felt taken for granted in your relationships? Have you taken care of others needs more than yourself, to the point of exhaustion? Do you find it difficult to say no? Have you struggled with getting yourself heard and acknowledged? If your answer is yes, you are not alone.

Many of us truly struggle with setting healthy boundaries in our relationships. They are the physical, emotional and mental limits we set in our relationships. It helps us decide what is acceptable to us. It helps us say NO to that which is not acceptable to us. Emotional boundaries allow us to protect ourselves from being manipulated, be used or be taken for granted.

Having emotional boundaries means understanding that healthy relationships are based on the ability to say No. It means not having to sacrifice all the time. Healthy boundaries are the most important thing you need to create, especially in the intimate ones.

Learning to set healthy boundaries takes time. It is a conscious process. I would like to share with you three powerful practices that I have personally used for setting healthy boundaries. And it has been worth it!

Practice #1: Know My Limits:

Identifying what is acceptable and what is not, is the first step. Often, we don’t even allow ourselves to recognise what our limits are. It takes great amount of self-awareness, self-love and self-respect to acknowledge these physical and emotional limits that we would like to set in our relationships.

Practice #2: Actively Communicate:

The most important realisation I have ever had is that people aren’t mind readers, and they may have no clue about what I am feeling and needing. That doesn’t make them bad or selfish. It just makes them human!

Expecting that people would intuitively understand and respect my boundaries, is nothing short of being delusional. It is very important to actively communicate with the others what you are okay or not okay with. Otherwise the person may not even know that they’ve crossed a boundary.

Practice #3. Make Self Care a priority:

This is at the heart of setting emotional boundaries. Taking care of yourself gives you the energy, peace of mind and a positive outlook towards life. When you are internally happy, it gives you a a profound sense of freedom and lightness. When you give yourself the permission to have emotions and needs, to set boundaries, to say no, to take care of yourself, your soul feels nourished.

A Power Tip:

Learn to say NO without guilt. At the same time, learn to say YES because you want to, and not out of obligation or to please others.

Affirmation for setting healthy emotional boundaries:

“I love and respect myself enough to recognize when something isn’t healthy for me, and I am confident enough to set clear boundaries to protect myself. All is well in my world.”

We all look at life through different lenses. It is part of what makes us who we are. It doesn’t matter where you are in life right now, how many mistakes you’ve made, the opportunities you’ve passed up, or what’s happened “to you.” You can get clear on your goals and start moving in the direction of your desires.

An effective way to build confidence and clarify your goals is to create a vision board for yourself. Have a vision and document it. Make a plan, write it down, and refer to it often. Knowing that the Universe often just laughs at our detailed plans, keep your focus on the end result.

I have been practicing this technique for many years. I find it helpful to add to my board every few months, each time creating a bigger picture. Vision boards are not just for January and then forgotten. They are a valuable tool you can use to keep you focused on your goals all year long. Louise Hay, author of You Can Heal Your Life, was teaching this long before it became mainstream.

Get into a creative headspace before you begin. Instead of thinking of everything you desire and don’t yet have, think about all of the things you have created in your life so far. Do you have a roof over your head? Awesome. You did that! Do you have relationships that make you happy? Awesome, you did that. Mentally prepare by thinking about key areas in your life: relationships, health, wellness, spirituality, career, and financial prosperity. Think big—the sky is the limit!

There is no one right way to do this. There is just your way. Let your personality shine through for your goals and how you will choose to create it. Do you need to spend a day thinking about this, a week, or is more than five minutes too long? All those strategies are correct—just choose the one that is best for you. It is impossible to do your vision board wrong, so prepare and then relax into the process.

You may be pumped and thinking, yes, let’s do it! Let the co-creating begin! Or you might be wondering exactly why you would ever, ever want to do this. It is not all about being new age, spiritual or mindful. It is about you. It is about you getting clear on what you want and then following those dreams. It is for those times when your confidence is wavering, and self-doubt is taking over.

Your vision board will keep you focused and serve as a daily reminder that your goals and dreams matter – and are achievable.

To create a vision board, gather photos, words, and symbols to represent several areas of your life. Make sure your words, pictures, and symbols speak to your heart and not just what you think your vision should be. When you have completed your vision board, please put it in a place where you can see it and admire it daily. Trust in the process.

There are many ways that vision boards can work for you. Just the act of creating the vision board raises your energy to match the energy you would have if you already had the things on the board! It increases confidence. It helps you to see that you can have the life of your dreams and pushes away fear and self-doubt.

If you follow the Law of Attraction, defined as “that which is like unto itself is drawn,” you will have created a space where you believe you can have what you desire. The more high-vibrating affirmative energy you put toward your goals, the more self-doubt dissipates, and your vision will become your reality.

“By Luann Chou”

It all began after I attended a Heal Your Life Workshop. We practiced mirror work as a group and as I was speaking lovingly to myself in the mirror, I could feel my eyes welling up.

Perhaps it was the tears that stirred me. I can’t be sure, I just know, in that moment, I had a bright idea.

Although I have been practicing self love for about 15 years, from time to time, I recognized a low hum within me that felt like I was not quite enough and my gut feeling was it had a lot to do with my dad.

Throughout the years, I’ve gone to therapy, participated in family constellations and partaken in other healing modalities in the hopes of healing some of my “daddy wounds.”

At some point, I decided I had done plenty of work and I couldn’t worry about NOT getting my dad’s approval anymore. I decided that what I needed to do was to move forward in my life with ME loving and approving of myself.

It was in the Heal Your Life workshop where I was struck with an idea. What if I did get my dad’s approval after all? What if my dad started approving of me every day… in my daily mirror work?

The day of the workshop, I came straight home and started practicing mirror work with my dad.

For me, the eyes are everything. I suggest using a compact mirror. It helps not to be distracted by hair, make-up, etc…

Immediately, I loved this mirror work with my dad.

My dad was so nice to me. He told me he was proud of me and that I was a wonderful daughter. My dad told me he appreciated the sweet things I did for people and my kind heart. These were things my dad had never told me before.

I did a few days of mirror work before I captured the essence of my dad and then off I went – I took this show on the road, so to speak sans my mirror. My dad traveled with me everywhere I went

A week in and everything was great. Then, I hit a bump in the road…

As I was sharing with a friend about the mirror work and how my dad’s encouragement was really helping me, my friend expressed her happiness for me but also concern that I was giving all my power away to my dad because she believed I was the one doing all the work, not my dad.

Hmmm. Here’s what I heard. You are talking to yourself. Even though I talk to myself all the time, this didn’t sit well with me.

Because to me, this process had everything to do with my dad.

I shared my daddy mirror work with my Conversations with God group, walking them down memory lane with me and my dad as I was growing up.

Suddenly a member of the group blurted out, sounds like your dad has Asperger’s.

I paused.

In that moment, I was in the moment, experiencing my dad as an adult.

Yes, that made perfect sense, but since I mostly ever saw my dad through the eyes of my younger self, this had never occurred to me before.

It dawned on me that my dad, in this incarnation has significant emotional limitations but his soul doesn’t.

This really helped me get past that little bit of doubt that had crept into my mind. As my dad traveled everywhere with me encouraging me and helping me, I really felt like it was him talking to me and not just me talking for my dad and giving him lines.

I knew my dad’s soul had the capacity to be loving and supportive, just not in this space and time with me in this life and dimension.

I’ll share a particular story that showed how much this work could help the inner critic.

In my art class, we had to do a still life drawing in charcoal but the art teacher did not give very much direction. I was discouraged by the lack of instruction and the bony finger coming by to correct my “mistakes.”

In my frustration, I decided to take a break from my drawing and my dad and I had a little talk in the bathroom.

My dad reminded me, “Luann, this is the first art class you have ever taken. You didn’t even know you were to break the charcoal twig until the teacher told you 20 minutes ago. You’re learning to shade and to see light. You’re learning to apply shapes into your pictures. You’re doing a great job. This is a process. Be proud of yourself. I’m proud of you.”

I returned to class armed with a knowing. I went ahead and finished my drawing for the day without letting my teacher’s comments of “You’re not done!” etc… throw me off.

I was done, with my still life drawing and with his class too and I wasn’t even mad about it.

I knew I was enough.

It’s been richly healing having my dad’s approval.

And she exhaled…

10 Questions to Ask Yourself to Recover Your Happiness

Sometimes life knocks you down and you end up feeling depressed, challenged, overwhelmed, and/or stressed.
You may feel you will face that situation forever and things will never change.
Questions are powerful tools that allow you to access the deepest levels of your consciousness. Here are 10 questions to ask yourself to recover your happiness and create the life you desire and deserve!

What would I do if I were not afraid? Fear is a useful feeling because it warns us and keeps us aware, but sometimes it takes over and prevents us from doing things. If you feel stuck, uncertain and you don’t really know which step to take, ask yourself: What would I do if I were not afraid? The answer is exactly what you need to do.

Am I wasting time doing things that don’t matter to me? When we feel lost, it’s because we are not following our internal compass and we are just going with the flow. Stop for a minute, take a deep breath and ask yourself: Am I doing what I really want to do or am I wasting time doing things that don’t interest me? How can you incorporate more activities that are important to you and your passions?

Do I want to be right or happy? Living in conflict creates unease in our minds and bodies. Two people who have different opinions might both be right! From each own point of view, everybody is right. Does it make sense to argue with people just for the sake of being right?

What can I learn from my mistakes? Everybody makes mistakes and you can choose to actually learn from when things don’t go quite right or as you planned. Mistakes are lessons to learn. They are necessary to understand what needs to be changed and what can be improved. If we didn’t make mistakes, how could we make progress and evolve? Instead of judging yourself for something you did wrong, ask yourself: What can I learn from this situation? What would I do differently?

What is the message that life is trying to communicate? Sometimes life is hard, complicated, or even cruel, but even when it’s difficult, life is always working for us, not against us. Whatever happens, it’s the necessary step to go the next level, it creates growth and awareness. Nothing is ever a punishment. Whatever you have to deal with, ask yourself: What is the message that life is trying to communicate to me? What’s happening in this situation for me?

What makes me smile? Smiling is so simple, but so powerful. It releases all tensions, makes you feel comfortable and appreciated by people around you. It’s true, we face obstacles along the way, but most of the time, we make them look bigger than they are. Smiling makes life light!

What are you grateful for? Happy people don’t have the best, they just make the best out of what they have. Very often we take things for granted; we forget to appreciate the gifts that life makes for us. Gratitude is a boost for happiness. When we express our gratitude, we breathe life that is happening around us. We are happy and we make people around us happy too.

Who or what do I need to forgive? For-giving is gift you make to yourself. It doesn’t mean pretending that nothing happened. It means realizing that something did actually happen, it hurt you, but you release that heavy burden. Is carrying it with you, changing the circumstances or hurting the person who hurt you or hurting yourself? What’s the point of hurting yourself? You cannot embrace the new if you keep getting stuck in the past. Forgiving means giving yourself the permission to move on with your life and make room in your heart for new amazing experiences.

What’s your dream? Dreams express your deepest values, what you believe in, they say who you are. It’s important to daydream, to visualize what you would like to give to this world and access your potential. If you give up on your dreams, you give up on living.

What’s your calling? When we feel depressed, it’s because we are too much focused on ourselves. Happiness comes from helping other people. “Get rid of yourself” and focus on what you can do in the world to help other people. You will feel much lighter. What’s your calling? How can you use your unique talents to contribute to the world?

Believing that there is only a limited amount of success available originates from a place of fear and judgement. Like many people, this was a way of life for me until I discovered the philosophies of Louise Hay over thirty five years ago. Since then, I have made a definite move away from fear-based living towards an appreciation for the magic and mysteries of life. Gratitude is a way of doing this.
While the art of gratitude is well documented, I feel that the practice of being grateful for the abundance and successes of others is not so widely spoken of.

For many years now, I have challenged myself to go deeper with my practices and I witness daily the miracles that unfold when we express gratitude, not just for our own lives, but for the lives of others. Through sharing this work, I have found that if you can recognise what it is that your heart truly desires and are able to fully celebrate people who have achieved this, then you can gently move away from poverty thinking into true abundance. Moving from the belief that if someone else is successful then it limits your opportunity for success, to knowing that others have the right to be successful and that celebrating them does not limit abundance within your life. Living life this way helps us move from a place of fear, into a place of trust and generosity of spirit. Fundamentally, this space of embracing and supporting the success of others not only increases our trust in life but also our own wealth at many levels.

I acknowledge that gratitude for what you have is a wonderful practice, but I would encourage you all to go deeper. It is easy to appreciate that while we are still on this journey of life, we are constantly learning and simply being open to change allows for growth. I truly believe that when I celebrate and express gratitude for the good in my life I am allowing goodness to grow in my life. However, when I truly express gratitude from my heart for the success and abundance of others I allow goodness to grow not just in my life but in my community and therefore I see that what I do, what I think, and how I feel really does make a difference. Making a difference for the good of society is truly rewarding and gratitude and appreciation are gateways to making a real difference.

I wish you all the freedom to explore what is right for you, and encourage you all to release any thoughts of resentment or lack. Instead, choose to express a true sense of gratitude and appreciation for all abundance within life. For it is in this space that true miracles happen.
